Privacy Policy
Last updated: 15 September 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how TRADIE (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use our websites, web app, and related iOS services (together, the “Service”). TRADIE helps tradespeople create work reports, attach site photographs, record time and materials, generate PDFs, and share sealed reports with clients.
By using the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Who we are
The Service is operated under the TRADIE brand. For privacy questions or requests, contact us at tradieios@outlook.com.
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you use TRADIE, we may collect:
- Account information — such as your email address and authentication details when you create or sign in to a workspace.
- Business profile information — business name, trade, licence or registration numbers, phone, email, address, ABN/VAT details, logo, country, and currency preferences.
- Work report content — job titles, descriptions, dates, time entries, materials, line items, recommendations, client names, client contact details, and site addresses that you enter.
- Site photography and media — images or files you upload to a report, including captions and photo categories (for example before, during, or after).
- Client interaction data — when a client opens a shared report link, we may record that the link was viewed and when it was opened, so you can see delivery status.
- Plan and billing preferences — the subscription plan and billing interval you select (for example Solo, Crew, or Company; monthly or yearly).
- Contact enquiries — name, email, phone, company/trade, and message content submitted through our contact form.
- Technical and device data — IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, and similar diagnostics needed to operate and secure the Service.
- Local preferences — settings stored on your device (for example preferred display currency) using browser storage.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
- Create, store, edit, seal, export, and share work reports and PDFs
- Authenticate users and manage workspaces and plan access
- Respond to contact form enquiries and support requests
- Show you when a shared client report has been opened
- Communicate service-related notices (for example security or account updates)
- Detect, prevent, and investigate abuse, fraud, or security issues
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your work-report content or site photographs for advertising.
4. Client data entered by tradespeople
If you enter client details (such as a client’s name, email, phone, or site address) into a report, you are responsible for having a lawful basis to do so and for using that information only for legitimate business purposes related to the job.
When you share a report link or PDF, the recipient may see the information included in that report, including photographs and invoice totals you chose to include.
5. How we share information
We may share information with:
- Service providers who help us operate TRADIE, such as hosting, authentication/database providers, email delivery for contact forms, and analytics or error monitoring if enabled.
- Clients or other recipients when you choose to share a report link, email, or PDF.
- Professional advisers or authorities where required by law, court order, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
Current processing helpers may include infrastructure and account services (such as Vercel hosting and Supabase authentication/storage where configured) and Web3Forms for delivering contact-form messages to tradieios@outlook.com. Payment processors may receive billing information if in-app or web card billing is enabled.
6. Cookies and local storage
TRADIE may use essential cookies or local browser storage to keep you signed in, remember preferences (such as display currency), and keep the Service working reliably. We do not use these technologies to sell personal data.
7. Data retention
We retain account, profile, and report data for as long as your account remains active or as needed to provide the Service. Contact-form messages are retained as needed to respond to your enquiry and keep business records. You may request deletion of your account or specific data by emailing tradieios@outlook.com, subject to any legal retention requirements.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Please use a strong password, keep account credentials confidential, and only share report links with intended recipients.
9. International transfers
Our service providers may process data in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, the United States, or other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict use of your personal information, object to certain processing, or request portability of data you provided. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.
To exercise these rights, email tradieios@outlook.com. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.
11. Children’s privacy
TRADIE is intended for business and professional use by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
